Snow graces the earth with the color white which otherwise is seldom seen in nature. Perhaps a fowl or animal may be partially white and there is white sand. Man-made white may be seen more often than white produced naturally, but it is never as real as nature's white. With much green vegetation and blue sky the snow comes usually for a short duration to let us experience the color white.
The night was as black as night could be, without the moon or stars in sight, when I
drifted-off to sleep.
Just before falling asleep I looked toward
my window but could see no farther than the
window pane.
Early the next morning looking out my window
far beyond the window pane I saw snow
that had covered the earth as far as I could see.
Snow flakes, propelled by a gentle wind were
dancing and falling as they landed on the
snow that was already nesting on the earth.
Before my very eyes I saw the snow rise in
height.
It was something to see. For a while I was
speechless as I watched in awe.
When I regained my speech I whispered
revernetly "Thank you God. Thank you God."
Thank you God."
Then with gusto I exclaimed, "Let it snow!'
Let it snow! Let it snow!"
And seemingly in response to my command
the snow shifted from waltzing in three-
fourth time to fox-troting in duple time.
Again, although speechless I knew that the snow
and I were one.
And again I was awed by beauty.
Let it snow! Let it snow! Let it snow!
Always nice when you can see past the daily grind and be amused by the spectacular transformation...
Be always safe,
Karen

I am wondering if U know snow at all? Really a wonderful poem as we have so much of snow in Germany now which is not at all fun only but pain, problems. Melted snow, water, frost, again ice, slippery...
Thanks a lot for U lovely poem
