Today, while visiting the slated-bottom and
fountain-like sounding stream near my home
that I call My Hydro-Sanctuary because of the
peace dividend I receive from it...nourishment
and solace...an airborne yellow and black tiger
swallowtail butterfly landed on a small scrub-
like tree about six feet in front of me.
For several minutes I watched in awe the
butterfly flutter and nibble, while apparently
sucking nectar. I became enchanted by the
butterfly dancing and fountain-like sounds.
Gracefully the butterfly in zigzag-fashion
circled seveal times in front of me as if
deliberately performing for my delight.
While he was still in sight I waved to him and
said, "Thank you tiger swallowtail butterfly!"
Allthough I was no longer able to see the
butterfly I felt like we were soaring together.
