YOU ARE SO RIGHT. AND, REALLY, I DON'T KNOW HOW HEALTHY FOR US THIS AVENUE OF SEARCH IS. ON ONE HAND, I CAN APPRECIATE IT BECAUSE THERE IS 'NOTHING' ONE CANNOT FIND 'ON LINE'. BUT ON THE OTHER HAND...I THINK OUR 'BRAINS' ARE BECOMING TOO INACTIVE AND OUR 'FINGERS' ARE NO LONGER WALKING THROUGH THE YELLOW PAGES, BUT CLICKING KEYS. AND I KNOW THIS TO BE TRUE BECAUSE NOBODY SEEMS TO NEED A TELEPHONE DIRECTORY ANYMORE---THEY PILE UP IN THE BACK OF THE BUILDING WHEN THEY ARE DELIVERED. I REMEMBER(ONCE UPON A TIME) GETTING BY VERY WELL WITHOUT GOING ON-LINE...BUT NOW, I CAN'T SEEM TO DO WITHOUT IT. I MEAN, REALLY. I REMEMBER WHEN I KNEW ALL OF MY FAMILY TELEPHONE NUMBERS BY HEART. NOW I DON'T HAVE TO REMEMBER THEIR NUMBER...I JUST GO TO MY 'CONTACTS LIST' AND THERE THEY ARE! IT'S A PARADOX; THE TECHNOLOGY THAT IS ADVANCING US...IS KILLING OUR ABILITY TO THINK! Online has its good points and its bad. You certainly can find information on almost anything very easy. Literally obsoletes encyclopedias.

And education is in for a big surprise when bricks and mortar no longer matter. I wouldn't be surprised if some of the treasured schools of higher education become merely museums as learning turns to the likes of the Khan Academy and Ted Talks. Chalkboards are already obsolete.
