A Heart’s Petition
I Ask the Creator to take it away,
The conflict, the blame, the grudges that stay,
Let harmony dwell where division has been,
Let peace take root in my soul deep within.
I ask for release from the weight of the past,
For wounds to be healed, for shadows to pass,
So that nothing outside has the power to bind,
Restore me to wholeness in spirit and mind.
I ask for the courage to soften my stance,
To meet every trial as more than mere chance,
To see in each moment a lesson to learn,
To be granted the wisdom my heart may discern.
I ask for compassion when judgment appears,
For patience to grow through the passage of years,
To answer with kindness when harshness is sown,
And honor the truth that no soul stands alone.
I ask for the grace that will open the door,
So good things can flow as they’ve never before,
That love is the language my soul will profess,
And life is made sacred in balance and rest.
