Waiting.....Waiting

My first novel is supposed to be coming out this month...but I'm still WAITING....WAITING....on final word. Writing is synonymous with WAITING it would seem!

When writing my book I felt that it took
A lot of my patience and time
Much harder by far than grabbing a star
Or writing a poem that rhymes.

But I'm now finding out without any doubt
That the hardest part by far indeed
Is the WAITING for stuff, it's terribly tough
So with my publisher I publically plead!

"I've emailed and asked since the time has now passed
You told me I'd be printed in June!
But it's becoming quite clear - mid-June is now here
That this process should conclude VERY SOON!

So here's hoping a box from the UPS man who knocks
On my door contains my masterpiece....
Or I'll hop on a plane, through the hard driving rain
In the company of the local police!"

Well that made me feel better, instead of a letter
I expressed my frustration with laughter
My book will come out and I'll happily shout
And my story will have a "happily ever after" !

Wait, wait, wait, wait,
Who's that at the gate?
UPS with package for you,
H&H heard you were blue.
