This is written with a smile on my face and an eye on the calendar as Valentine's Day approaches.....
Men! Who needs 'em..
Well - WE do!
We hate to admit it,
But we do, yes it's true .
From their tousled old heads,
To their cold, callused feet,
You've got to admit,
That they're fun 'tween the sheets!
They ignore us, and implore us,
To spoil them like babies -
Then expect only "yesses"
When we tell them our "maybes"....
Every woman walking by
Gets the stare and the ogle
The way that their minds work
Makes ours simply boggle!
Then out of the blue
They will hug us and kiss,
And we know there and then
That's just what we would miss.
So we let it all pass,
And just smile and stay cool -
And remind ourselves OFTEN
Of the "Wive's Golden Rule"...
"It's not how often they say -
It's not how often they do -
It's that they do it at ALL
That makes our dreams come true !"

Yes, and us "tousled old heads and cold, callused feet," are better for it all when we lay down to sleep. I thank you for every last one of the tousled. Great Valentine poem!
