This was inspired by Kate Cliffords fine poem, "The Northern Wind Blows". ---------- "keewatin" means "northwind" in he language of the Cree people . . .
Keewatin calls the north wind whistles the tune and names the step. "dance with me, sister step with me, brother children of my mother, come dance with me! dance with me on the mud flats through the willows, to the black spruce stand, dance! from seashore mountain and rolling foothills across prairie gold, to hardwood bush come dance with me! across the inland seas, rolling down to ocean shore, wherever i wander, wherever i am known, brothers and sisters. come dance with me! " the north wind speaks to her siblings, whistling tune and step, Keewatin calls.
