“So Vulnerable”

I am secretly
So vulnerable
This woman of loneliness
I am like a restless intense little girl
With my dark hair and brown eyes
Who still make a strong “showing”
In my silent fight with mid - life – “workouts”
With perennial grace
I drape myself in soft-fitting white
The only caress I allow myself
And if someone would hold me tenderly
I think
I would shatter…
Into real sharp gleaming slivers
Even before… he could fold me in his arms
When he look at me
I avert my eyes
Incase he reads… the pain
In what I just
Said

I really loved this one My friend Tinka
you managed to send mt back in time
some thirty years, and a few tears
as I remmebered
My daughter dancing for me
to the tune of "the Music Box Dancer"
she was so beautiful then,
I really wished she never grow up
glad she did. she blest me
with three most beautiful granddaughters.

William ....Thank you love

There's a darker and sadder side to this poem. One that can't be masked or distracted from by the cute animated images...

I pray you will find the inner strength to grow through this time of conflict and to blossom. Into the unique and beautiful person the Lord knows your are...

Take care and travel safe...

This poem is most stiring, Tinka. You have to be vulnerable to love completely, which is possibly why many never do. Nice writing!
Take care,
Sherry

there's something to what Dave just wrote. when I finally broke down and admitted just how hurt I really was and became vulnerable (feeling as if I would shatter), that's the point I identify as a turning back toward love and really being alive. thanks for this poem, Tinka.

Being vulnerable, and realizing it, is part of the cure. As children of God, we are loved. As children of God, we deserve love. Let go of the fear (anger turned inside out), take a chance and find love again. You deserve it...

Dear Tinka,
I found this deeply moving. A poem so filled with yearning but also fear. How much you long for love and yet how undeserving you feel. I don't believe you have been treated right. You deserve to be honoured and adored sweet lady! I pray that you experience this kind of love and that the vulnerability slowly seeps away! Lovely work!
With love
Chanti
