"My Wounded Heart"

This is my heart
I am talking about
It is wounded...badly scared
Not out of curiosity
Not out of spite
All because...
I want to be... your devoted wife
I made a fool of myself
Because
It was not the right time

To show my love today

With 30 red roses

To celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary

Now I am lives misery
I have too much pride
Oh you… are surely the one
That was reacting so very wrong today

By throwing it back in my face

Telling me I am a disgrace

And must never ever try and buy your attention

With stupid flowers or silly wedding cards
Now in my residence I sit alone
And I am crying
Looking through the foggy windows of my soul
Night makes shadows against the wall
And with this blanket of shame

I try to cover up my wounds
My spirit gone… ruined….

So very dead
And all that is left
Within My heart

Is Hate

Towards you

Husband

Tinka Wow! Are you married to my hubby too? <Not a funny there.

Such a powerful message in here although personal, it's great strong poem.

I'm sorry Tinka. I know how you feel. I truly do.

Oh my, don't know how giving someone flowers and a card, can equate to buying attention. That's the first time I've heard such nonsense.
I hope things get better real soon.

Take care

Oh Tinky, I feel so sad for you.
You have nothing to feel disgraceful for.
I wish you brighter days you deserve.
You must believe in you, I know there
are plenty of people who do, I DO!

Tinka, Happy Anniversary to you!! You deserve to be proud of yourself for doing your absolute best to try to mend the bridges that keep the two of you living on different islands. There comes a time, though, when enough is enough and we just need to understand that this lifetime is too short to waste it all on someone who will never understand how very special and precious we truly are. I think that tomorrow, you should take those 30 roses into town and walk down the street giving them to people who look like they could use a kind gesture...soon, what your husband has shunned will make you feel so good, special and worthy of happiness as you celebrate life.
Take care,
Sherry

Oh... what else to say... he doesn't know, what he has lost... on my sobriety anniversary, my wife always gives me roses... it is one gift, I truly love... I'll pray for him, that he will find out how stupid he is and what he has lost and I'll pray for you, that your heart will heal and love will find its way...

No Jerry....two cases of beer would've been a better choice....and a house filled with whore..not his wife and kids...and a kind request to stop drinking...because he is killing every person in his life...himself included!!
We asked him because we cared..but all I can say now is F*CK him!!

Tinka, have missed reading you even though poems like this make my heart break -- probably because I can relate to the general experience. Next time, give the roses to yourself. I did that once and it was a beautiful, beautiful thing. And, btw, you are not evil, so what's with the "evil one" moniker? Dawn

Tinka, my heart goes out to you and I hope he somehow has a reason that has been overlooked, thirty years is a long time to love and be loved so I hope he manages to find the way to make up for such a cruel hurt. Regardless your friends here on the den care.

So much pain and heartache, Tinka=0(. I am sorry. Haven't been able to comment on your work last few days...life things getting in the way, but I always enjoy your work. Just commented on someone else's that it's when we write from the heart, or the gut if you will, that we do our best work...just my opinion. Some try to think it through too much instead of just letting those keys cut loose. You write what you feel and it shows. Wonderful poem.
