Poem Artwork

Crochet art of the "Praying Hands" on wall was done by myself

********

I Experienced Love

Within the loneliness of my bed

A picture came to my mind

I experienced… love

As I examined you surreptitiously

Eyes framed with dark lashes

A sensual mouth… lips soft

The silver spot

As the warm sun

Struck silver sparks from your hair

Lying on a soft carpet of “blue” linen

Tranquility surrounds you

I try to control my breathing

I try to control what I feel deep inside

I experienced …love

Tears of frustration streaks my face

The pain…the yearning

That dulled my senses for so long

Came to me as a shock

Knowing I experienced …love

I try to control my heartbeat

Within the loneliness of my bed

I call out your name

I close my eyes

And listen to the thunder

I sigh!!
