Horizon’s Away

I walk up to the edge
Of the river bank
Calm waters where I stand
Sunbeam of the twilight sky
Playful on the waterside
In this tender moment of desperation
To last no longer than a few seconds
The blink of the eye and you gone
Waters of heart not calm
Disturbed by the wind of emotions
Oh!

How cold is this wind
So bleak and wild within
Black figures in your mirrors gone
Restless sunbeams in my mind
Then out of the darkness I hear
The call of the fish eagle’s say
The call of a dove below
In the wind of the night
All calm now gone to rest
Nostalgia enter my soul
Horizons away you are
In wide open space
Quiet you are
And heavens apart we are
Scared and so alone
I am tonight
Here by the river edge
Of loneliness within
Drowning myself
In tears of fear
Alone again
Only

Me

How cold is this wind

I'm right where you were when you penned this poem today, Tinka. How cold, indeed... we are always, ever alone but paradoxically never really alone, for there is a great spirit of oneness and a Creator who embraces us and helps us to withstand such cold. Take care, Dawn

Great saddness expressed poeming Tink, you couldn't be referring to Tinka. All that creativity and imagination Tinka got, her world is full of everything to her calling.

A fixation of mind
got the eyes blind.
You are what you eat,
so stay away from defeat.
You are what you think,
the program is in the ink.
Your aura,
rules superior.
Look around,
touch the ground,
enjoy lifes wonders,
ignore its blunders.
Wanting and needing,
no use bleeding.
Loosen the tight grip,
enjoy lifes trip.

I think that the honesty of it all is that really we are always alone. Though we can have a companion, we still walk our pathway alone, no matter who is holding on to our hand, save the Creator Himself. Beautiful poem, Tinka!
Take care,
Sherry
