No Looking Back

The sun was so bright outside
And I would like to say
What’s on my mind today
At first my thoughts was kind
And I need it to stay that way
But when I walked into the house
I took at look in the mirror
And saw this person looking back at me
And I thought by myself
Do I know that woman
That is looking back at me
She became a stranger to me
That is impossible
That could not be me
What happened to that young
Happy go lucky girl back then
Who could recognize humor
In every little thing in life
And could make a joke about anything
Even a slice of bread
But today that same joke
Became a threat to me
Okay I know I said my mind
Was suppose to be kind
But you see today
I am doing some reality check
And I won't break my neck
And lose your respect
I just want to know
Why did humor become a "no more"
No more jokes, no more laughter
Just heartache and rejection
No wonder I have this sad face
All day long I tried my best
To communicate without luck
Is it because of age
Or time that gets in my way
Or is it called stress
Or maybe downfall

Now tell me what is stress!!!

Stupid person who loves
Too much passion in my saying
Reminding you about my love all the time
Endless outcry for attention
Silly little remarks
Saying I miss you

What the hell does downfall means then!!!

Distance between us that kills me
Or maybe my impossible stupidity
Warm heart that needs and loves you
Never to doubt you in any way
Falling for you at first sight
And wants to be part of you forever
Listen to your voice in hope
Love will conquer
Well!!!

Then I will do myself a favor
And never look back

Into that bloody mirror ever again

To face that stranger

***********

Last night I wrote you a letter
But all I could write was

“noh ssiw”

It did not make sense for a while
Until I read it up side down
Back to front !!!
Yes I “miss you” is what it says
You know without humor life sucks
And without courage life is hard
But without love life is hopeless
And without someone like you
Life is impossible
So do you take “me”
To by your inter net babe
To have and to hold
For daily jokes and love notes
In poor servers and in bad connections
Till power fail or viruses do their part
Please answer me back on this matter
You know I use to hate weddings
Only because all my old friends
Would poke me in my ribs
And say you the next my girl
But they stopped their selfish story
When I did the same thing
At funerals of our friends he- he-he
So let me tell you this today
Hearts could only love for a while
Feet can only walk for some mile
Clothes will never be in style
But having you in my life
It is forever worthwhile
No strings attached
Just a fact of life
My Love

I think it's all of those things, for all of us, if we let them win. Fight on, Tinky!

Pain and frustration reverberate in almost every line, but the Tinka I see in that mirror is too strong and determined and intelligent and
talented to stay down!! Your reflection shines, m'love! Look
again and you will see I am right. Be good to yourself. A n d

I think I'm lookng more like my mom everyday, but that does not get me down. We're all going to get there one day. Going there gradually isn't so bad. Afterall, we've lived and earned the grey hair.

As for internet love - both parties can choose one another anytime, for pure soulful companionship of no strings attach. If both parties can make each other happy, then I don't see why not?

wonderful Tinka and so from the bottom of your heart, age catches up and passes us sometimes without allowing us to know it till it has burned up our young years.

Gooodness me... are we on the same page or what??! Kind of!! Yep, those dialogues with the mirror are always either the best or the worst... and I am usually the loser! But never take that reflection's advice - she's always wrong. You do yourself a great favour here, Tinks, and us all one by sharing your poetry and sage wisdom. TY LOL Kate xx

Tinka,

We are always changing, growing and evolving.
No wonder that sometimes we see a stranger in the mirror.
If we look more often, we can understand and love
the person we are becoming. When we look with our hearts,
we find that the child is always there within us.

Love & Light,
Joseph
