My Secret Wounds { 2 }

As the days is winding down

In the Southern Hemisphere

All I feel inside of me is fear

Feelings not so gentle deep within

As time

Walks with me through the night

The burning tears of my eyes

And the yearning of my heart

Feelings not gentle to embrace

I try to heal my secret wounds

With gentle sounds of music

But the sounds

Of my old grandfathers clock

Tells me

It’s almost time to go to bed

And as the break of a new day comes my way

I try to tuck my fears away

Within my deepest wounds

And when the sun

Comes out to show his face

And to bless another day with grace

Only for a moment

I would see

Your face

And without reason

I cry

i find the poem very melancholic and emotive. there is fluidity in its thoughts and feelings. it was well-written and well presented. a very good work for me.

Very poignant Tinka.

A powerful yet innocent spirit permeates this construct. The choice of Jim Croce as a sound bite was tasteful.
