Divorced from reality Learning the hateful art of deception I held this hand for many years Oh!
A load of stress and bother too! Deep within this darkness I am bound Empty of sleep… empty of heart I stumbled… Into this unfamiliar part of life Making mistakes Like the ones I’ve made There will be no return… No going back Lie still breaking heart You have no right to decide What’s allowed deep within… Divorced soul from this body Learn the hateful art to forget Seek no further… I saw bitterness in a mirror today As I stumbled out Into this dark side of life No sorrow behind smiling faces As bitterness blasted my mind Dark thoughts are born To fill this empty heart
Love binds up a heart, then tears it apart. It's only when on HIM, we totally rely; that we can ever taste pure love, and let it's refreshing power, get us thru, get us by. We need to hate the sin, but then let it go. He'll take our prayers to His heart, if we just let Him know. He'll fill us with His joy, and allow HIS pure sweet love, in our lives, to once again, thrive, and overflow.
This sounds like terrible times haunt you, sweetheart. Remember, there is always light at the end of the tunnel. Don't let bitterness reign your heart,

This absolutely tears at the heart and soul, Tinka. I can feel that division so strongly and your picture of the massive rolling wave is so appropriate. There is the reality of what we feel "bound by" and there is the reality of the heart. Truth, honesty and integrity deep within are the fundaments that God deals with. He will find a way for resolution, I have no doubt. He is a God of wholeness, I believe. Keep walking on your water and pouring out your heart because it will not go unheard. He can take you over, under or part the waters to let you pass through. But I believe entirely in Grace over the Law, and it is not for us to judge, but to walk the path set before us upright before God in the best way we know how. Didn't really want to relate to this beautiful and agonising poem in "religious" terms, but guess it's all part and parcel. You are at your artistic best, I think Tinka, sadly when your anguish pours out onto the page, as here. May you find peace and shelter from and within the storms. I love the way you use "OH" so sincerely and to such effect in your poetry, often making it stand alone as a cry from the deepest part of your soul. Astounding. LOL Kate xx
Tinka, not to argue with the religious faction, but I have always found that no matter how much people try to put their souls in G-d's hands, at some point, even that leads to bitterness. You see, somewhere along the line, people need to feel the things that make them happy. You just cannot believe your way into good feelings. That requires action. And based on your recent poems I'd have to say, you are in control of your destiny now. It was always within you. ~ Sara

Walk into the Light dear soul, and do it wisely and with never ceasing prayer. There is peace and wisdom on the other side of that doorway.
Tinka I feel I must say this it is from experience and from my heart and soul. No man or woman is worth parting with the savior! If what you do is not wrong, then you have nothing to fear. But if you take a chance on something you are not sure of, you may have it harder than you ever dreamed possible. so think deep and hard while in prayer. don't make this decision lightly without the Lord. I dread to think of the sorrow ahead of you if you do.My love and deepest prayers go out to you.
