I watch the darkness falling down And hills that's withdrawing their shadows And the beautiful sunset
Like ochre reddens in color The birds are at rest for the night The sea breezy still and silently whispers Above me there are mad bats flying around Now that the lights are lit I fear the lurking thieve of my heart Who seek its prey like a cruel hunter Here there are no forest just longing And the dust from the lonely dirt road It looks like smoke in drifting clouds Here are no rivers to shelter my wounds Or to harbor my flowing tears There are only other people Jostling home from some nearby shebeen Herded by dusk together I have been waiting for you for so long And you did not come Where have you been all this time? My heart is breaking into million pieces How can I handle this alone Is this the way it has to be My eyes are searching for you Every pedestrian or stranger Or even a traveler a maybe… that’s you But no one see you walking in my mind Are you here or are you that far away Maybe that’s why I can’t see you here Without any shadow of doubt You do live within my heart Forever and for eternity Like a shadow You cover Me
Soemetimes are we are allowed is a whisper, a glimpse of love.... real in our hearts yet just short of our grasp... Tremdous insightful write.... you just get better and better at revealing deep emotional and inner feelings.
