On Her Knees

As waves collide with sand

She falls down on her knees

One with nature

In conversation with God

Sand slipping through fingers

Grains of sand like falling rain

Swept away by gale forced wind

Water splashes upon rocky shores

Like the sounds of thunder

From heavens above

Lighting strike one more time

In this bleak hour of midnight

Her face the color of gray

Moon just slip away to hide away

Behind heavy clouds

That sails across horizons end

In gale forced wind upon the sand

Silent expression withholds her

As she turn her face towards heavens above

She flips her hair back away from her

Then slowly as the moon comes out

Silver lines now shiny upon her cheeks

As silent tears runs freely

Like rolling waves upon the sand

One with nature

But in conflict with her heart!!

First it's a good thing the tide is out (no jelly fish there), second if she's sad, there's nothing to lift the spirit than a sip of a sweet smelling ruby wine. Now that I have had some sort of revenge, may I say what a lovely if sad poem you wrote. It will always be etched in me as it deserves not to be forgotten. Victor

Tinks ...

You open your heart wide in this one for all to see. You paint a sombering picture, sissy, of those seasons of the dark soul we all, ocasionally, navigate.

Your muse is powerful these days, and it reflects in what you are writing. A beautiful, deep, heartfelt poem.

Stand Strong ...
