On the Air

The shadows of our disparaging past -

Shadows of doubts, mechanically grotesque –

Always racing nightmarish – we will never sleep,

Now have a hold on us - cast us across the marital cease

A burning hope to pray upon disgust – irritating monotony

Never again will we peer into each other’s dreams;

So I must go now, carried away with the ill-wind

Slowly unwrapping my arms that held you close

And leave you waiting as an unaltered bride

The ceremony of your innocence to be forgotten

Love’s light has faded commonly out of sight;

Time for me to fly, but the higher I fly -

The smaller I seem to your un-brokenheart left behind

Reconciliation’s voice alone, a haunting cry -

One eye crying, one eye fading;

Rain comes galloping over the gray hills –

Rides un-romances whirlwind –

And on the air – a heartless goodbye

Hear the love song that I no longer sing to you

Until the time has come to despise;

When I leave and take the ill-wind

And find the dead land that faith will not bring -

Carried there by love’s withering hand

My wish is that the darkest star in the evening sky

Is yours to never find me.

MY GOODNESS!!! Eye-popping and heart-stopping/pumping stuff, Tinka!! This kind of emotion can only be wrought through the most refining of fiery furnaces and the deepest of troubled chalices... So good to hear that this is a collaboration... such intensity of feeling would be hard to bear on one's own... KNOCKOUT! TY Kate xx

Tinka, I only know you through poetry and the comments of those who have known you so long. I can only glean a little of the pain and hopeful joy you have encountered along life's path. I do want you to know how loudly this poem speaks to me of the hert and the questions and the emotional rollercoaster of your life. You do speak to me of so mant levels of you...and maybe even some of me. That's poetic achievement , I do believe. There is resolution here...the wavering is over and it seems you have life by the resins and are in fast and positive forward.
Love to you,
Taylor~

Dear Tinka, we've known each other for a long time and I know how much you have suffered. The huurt you feel must bring on a reaction, but hate is not the answer. The more hate in your heart the more bitter you will be. I have seen this in so many friends. If you pray, pray for him, that he may see the monster he really is. And in thus praying forgive him and forget the past. Think of today only. May God bless you. Victor

Love is positive and should always be this way. Hate is unforgivable negatives. With logic...which is better and more conducive to life? Your poem's words are full of pain.

Very few people today can say that they have not endured some type of hurt or heart ache. Yours can be felt within the lines of this write. Hurt is a painful thing, that time does seem to have a way of healing. Bitterness and hate however, will eat one from the inside out until nothing is left for you or others. My mom always said, "the one that hurt you the most...hurts more by seeing your happiness, let go...be happy...be free" This is a very powerful write with much said.
Blessings,
Joyce Bowling

There is a lot of hurt and unforgiveness evident in this piercing and palpable collaboration..

When love turns to hate, it is time to get out..

This brings much into perspective Sissy.

The words are sobering and seem to carry with them an air of finality. The collaboration continues to flourish.
