As Time Goes By

Tick-tock-tick-tock

Goes the Old Grandfathers clock

As time goes by…she tried

To keep her focus on what’s around

But then little puppies under her feet

Makes her stumble forward

Towards a place to find peace

And as time goes by she wanders

On a silent path to nowhere

Black birds fly away

With a distant call…

Goodbye my friends… goodbye

May you find peace at your nest!!

She sat down and touched the ground

And pulled out a blade of grass

She puts it in her mouth

And with a blank stare

Just gazed upon horizon far

And as time goes by

She empty herself from within

As silent tears

Just rolled down her cheek

And in utter silence

She seek for her lovers arms!!

Yep, it's them puppies and blades of grass that do it... along with the wild geese flying away and each setting of the sun... Wonderful capture of a heart that longs for the freedom to fly from here to... there... Be well, Babes. LOL K xx

She is probably torn between well wishing and the internal dark longing for puppies to grace the feet of her lover. I may be off but I see a poem about the sadness of unfinished business and the eternal longing for love's reunion. - HB

Tinks the music with your poems distracts me from the cepth of your words, as having to use two senses is more the an english bloke can handle as we only have one...sensethatitnottheboysthingyale...

Hmm, in silence she places a blade of life between her lips to chew over, then slowly she turns each page of the distant horizon only to discover each chapter written in the freeflowing ink of lovelorn tears.

Touching
