Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there…biological or not!!

********

“Little Paper Cuts”

Standing beneath the night sky

On this so - called Mother’s Day
Heart a million miles away
Tell me…why does it hurt so much?

When sacrifices are made in life

Why do they become like little paper cuts

To leave painful scars within our hearts

They never heal completely

As they fill the void inside

Of zero give and take

It does break your will to carry on

And all those scars deep within

As you tuck them away one by one

It fills you up inside

Some made by your own children…

Those tiny tots you gave birth to

No matter how good or bad

You loved them from the start

Then life gives you that push

And you sit there lonely

No one around seems to understand

Feeling like a no good

Yet inspired to write about what’s inside

Bad mood in spite…

But somehow you know what’s right

Until there is no more you can take

Something slowly died inside

You cry

I wish you could take those scars away

With just a whisper or a kiss

On this Mother’s Day

Yes. This comes from something deeper than the damage caused by the edge of the paper. Look to the middle of the page for healing. This was written with pure artistic dignity. - HB

This is so sad--I do hope your day included some happy-There is also so much joy in motherhood thought the pain is so very deep when it is there--only deep though because the love is also so deep

Such a nice way to explain "paper cuts". Like being stabbed a thousand times over, yet no blood spilled. A very heartfelt, tender write that many could relate.

Be safe,

Tinka,
My mom departed this world almost ten years ago. and not a day goes by that I still do not think of her gentle face and loving hand...even though her strange minded son she didn't always understand... her love endured....as did mine
thank you so much for giving me nostalgic tears today

Love to you,
Walt

Tinka, I felt this one deep within my soul. I am not a mother in real life (only in imagination!), but I know you are one, and a day like today can be hard when one is hurting. God be with you this day, and always, and know you are loved! Beautiful, heartfelt write! Happy Mother's Day, Mama Tinka; you deserve to be happy! You are ever in my prayers!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in America, Karen Lynn in Texas (mama to *sixty* LOL).
