"How Great Thou Art"

As I sit here

Headphones cover my ears

I listen with my heart and soul

To the music of this beautiful song

“How Great Thou Art”

I can feel the tears in my eyes

That burned deep inside of me

With a loneliness so very deep

I have no control of my emotions

A raw ness escape from within

I cry

To be part of this heavenly love

Each time I hear this song

Knowing how great it would be

To feel the magic of Gods Holy hand

Even though it makes me cry

I am sure there is a reason why

Maybe this is Gods way

Letting the pain go away

I sit here now eyes smudged

Snotty nose …but calm within

Still listening to this song

“How Great Thou Art”

As the melody fades away

I wipe the tears away

And with a brave smile

I walk away

To face another day!!

The Creator of all things loves us dearly as individuals dear and special Sissy. He formed us in our Mothers wombs and wrote into us the plan for our lives. Our job is to find that plan and pursue it - and in so doing bring glory to Him. Brilliant!

A song like "How Great Thou Art" has a way of reaching deep into your soul and realizing just how Great He really is! I cry whenever I hear it, at church, on tv, or wherever. A most moving song! Very well done!

The song i s beautiful, but not nearly as beautiful as y o u. As for crying, I don't think there is anything that helps more when feelings bottle up. A good, long, cry clears the air and cleanses the soul.
If that doesn't work, I have found that it is important to find a place where I can get by with scream my lungs out. Have an old-fashioned tantrum!! You have done a great job of helping us feel your pain, Luv. But what is most important is that you allow yourself
to feel it to the fullest. . .then picture stuffing it in a Hefty bag and tossing it in the nearest dumpster! May sound silly, but it works for a lot of people, including me. Thanks for posting this
honest and deeply affecting piece. Betcha sing it purdy!:) Love always, and then, 'Pea' <3

Beautiful song, one of my fav's also...Indeed it does bring a person to that place where they can let go, when we praise HIM in song. Which is what we do when we listen to praise music hymns etc.
So of course the write that follows is inspired thus....
