"Shake"

Sweet words rolled from lips

Happiness to behold

Another walked right in

Killing doubt engulfed the mind

Expectations flew out the window

Shaking her mortal soul

Havoc in her heart

After realizing she was not so smart

Keep hoping for more

Ending up with nothing

Shadows within her eyes

Hover between hope and fear

Anguished she wandered to and fro

Pedestrian with no destination

Exhort her self to stay focused

She close her eyes to avoid the obvious

Hoping it will just fade away

Askew her dreams of tomorrow

Pilgrim on a road of dusty thoughts

Expectations out of balance

Shaken by reality

Homeless her love

Annoying pain keeps crawling in

Keep opening raw wounds

Everlasting scars remain

This is true of soooo many Sissy. You have mastered the melancholy protagonist, and in so doing you move upon the hearts of your readers with many emotions. Stand strong!

As we travel through life, we collect our scars. And when you meet that person who sees the banner of strength those scars represent, hold on of dear life.

Tinka I have to agree with Felix, we have all been there before but we have to accept that the future will be bright and beautiful, just have faith.

We all have walked through the dragon's flame a time or two and felt the burn of passion and love gone afoul. The truth is though unless we try, and try again we will never know the rare beauty that is true love.

"Raw wounds" and "everlasting scars". These words sound familiar to many, I think.

Accurately expressed.

Take care,

true scars will also be there, but those are warrior marks to be honored and respected as we fought through life at that moment. we continue down the road of life to live, love, and let time carry us down our road of life. be blessed my friend.
