Marshland Morning

Sunshines of oranges, yellows and gold

Sunsets are lowering lids that infold

Marigolds dancing, in arches abound

Streaks of pure lithium on Ossabaw Sound

Marsh smells as raindrops on Cattails that sway

Redwings sing out for the end of the day

Shadows of dense fog rolling on in

Blankets to warm all the nestlings within

Long blades of marsh grass securely grasp

Each loving member going down for a nap

To sleep there until morning and the breaking of day

When life rebounds at the mouth of this bay

It's time for a quiet spell as hearts slow their beat

As aromas of Jasmine lulls them to sleep.

This is so sweetly romantic, Susan, and that last line caps
the emotions and images beautifully!
