Poem Artwork

Sunshine of oranges ... yellows to gold
Sunsets are lowering lids to enfold
Marigolds dancing in arches ... abound
Streaks of pure lithium on Ossabaw Sound
Marsh smells of raindrops on cattails that sway
Redwings that sing out for the end of the day
Shadows of dense fog rolling on in
Blankets to warm all the nestlings within
Long blades of marsh grass securely grasp
Each loving member going down for a nap
Then wait for the morn and the break of the day
When life will abound at the mouth of this bay
Time for a quiet spell as hearts slow their beat
As aromas of Jasmine rock them to sleep.

Truly beautiful in form and function as well as in poetic nature, I really do like this one, perhaps this you could/should publish...Rufuz says it reminds him of the places he runs and chases the birdies at, near our home town...

Marvelous, Susan! I love sitting beside a marsh amongst cattails, listening to the red winged black birds, frogs, and insects, especially near dusk. So soothing; truly makes one appreciate all the varied life forms on this planet.
