My dad was a genuis. The Trout Blow-up kit was his invention and with a small puff of air under the skin of an Earthworm that worm would lay on it's back and float atop the creek until his movements caught the attention of a trout. It was sheer genuis to see this man become an Einstein.
With loving memory of my Dad ...I dedicate this poem to him.
Oh wonderful write! Brilliant idea. My dad was an inventor himself. Rigged up an ice machine in Africa while serving during WW2 in the USN, well appreciated by his shipmates. He was a machinist by trade. He received a paper award and $1500 for an innovation that must have increased production and profits for his company by the hundreds of thousands. But he gave of his genius! Your dad was a wise man. I'm sending this to a fisherman friend who I'm sure will enjoy it. Thank you for sharing your dad with us, Susan...
Your undying love and admiration for your late and great Dad, shines through like a lighthouse on a foggy night, Susan..
He will be smiling down on you from Heaven...

Wondderful nostalgic look book at your dad and his idea and to think now they are sold everywhere. The love and admiration you have for him truly shines through in this write though.

A shining tribute to your Daddy. Very well penned--I know he's proud of his little girl. :)
