This is dedicated to my father and sister who are out there riding the tails of meteors and skeet shooting those falling stars. It must be one heck of an adventure.
Susan
Tonight the sky is overcast
I couldn't find your star
It was then that I panicked
And I wondered where you were
There are moments in my lifetime
When my passions are layed bare
My emotions run with shadows
And restlessly I dare
To taste the dreams of ventures...
In the realm of the unknown
And fly into the heavens
To finally seek a home
Where you are there awaiting me
With arms extended wide
To sit with you and ponder
Should I stay up here and ride?
I could catch the tails of comets
Ride through the Milky Way
Say "Hello" to Orion
Then be on my way
Passed the planet of Venus
On to Jupiter and Mars
Dust the Cosmos with my laughter
Put more twinkle in the stars
I could swing from wings of angels
I would tickle all their feet
Tie their hair up all in tangles
Then gently fall asleep
With the wings of heavens shadows
As my dreams take me to Earth
I would waken with the laughter
Of life and all it's worth
I thank the world for all that's good
As I pray with all my might
I can hear your laughter echo
As it touches me tonight.
On the night you posted these words, a bubble burst that I created. The Light had other plans with me, giving me also the intuitive thoughts to understand this was the case. We look for ways to survive and forget about living. Living has become an array of cliches, but life is an assignment waiting for us to fulfill. The universe is patient; it acts in stints of billions of years. The hurried rush is merely part of our concept of survival. Which is not solid.
A very special and deeply touching tribute to both your dear father and sister, Susan

Nice skylar tribute to your father and sister, Susan. Sky is home to our passed loved ones. I love your analogy of riding the tails of meteors and shooting those falling stars. I've never thought of it that way, but it's perfect! The sky is inspiration to many a poet, but yours holds a special bright. Blessed Be.

Touching and I may add one hundred percent real. Yes. When our loved one are mussed soo dearly that we can seek them out and define them within the zillions of stars in the sky, you know it is real in the "real" sense. Wonderful poem.
