Poem Artwork

A soft spring rain like a lovers breath
Upon my roof... light footsteps
A sweet deluge of kisses
Moist and nurturing ease
Greeting my morning with passion
Like a lover come to tease
Oh sweet first rain of Springtime
Tender love come to call
Kissing my rooftop with magic
Caressing my morning and all
Urging all of the new growth
Stand up and reach for the skies
Show your panonine colors
Let your messages fly
Sweetening taste of a lover
Lifting my passions for Spring
Calling upon all my favors
Perfuming me with a sweet rain.

The image above the poem looks like a Dutch scene; dimmed ambient light from clouded skies from where rain comes trickling down. It makes us long for warm sunny days that never end while nature is in full bloom and worries are far away. On rainy days such circumstances seem far away, but there are few things as unpredictable as Dutch weather. And as the water from the skies nourishes nature hope for better and brighter days remains alive.

Kissing my rooftop and softening my floors... and my soul... My goodness, this is like rain on dry sand calling forth the desert oasis, Susan! Delicate and aromatic romance... now I'm parched!! Must be Rioja time... :)) Always a pleasure on your page, my Dear! TY LOL Kate xx

Love to walk around the block after a spring rain and drink in all the wonderful aromas of nature that are set free.

Hi Susan a beautiful write so full of gentle passion and desire, the softness of this write is like the lady you are gentle sweet and the words wash over me like the rain of which you speak. The graphic is just the icing on the cake. I am sorry if i have missed any of your writes but I have not been getting any notifications and the ones I have gotten were in bulk mail for some reason.

I like rain, especially when it drizzles. It gives me inspirations to think and write.

But not when it pours.

Good poem!
