Into the abyss of midnight the howls intensify
The wild night is calling as dozens of coyotes cry
The family of a tribal Prince who glorifies this mountain
His thirst for penetrating wisdom drinks from midnight's fountain
He sniffs the air for strangers as his den surrounds his play
He is worshipped for his wisdom and respected for his ways
He knows to win in battle he must take the lead
Enforce the tribal policy or they will not succeed
He knows that their survival hinges on his oaths
He focuses on the victory not of his victims boasts
Into the next generation his sons will live to lead
Then theirs will follow later to keep the family free
Such is the life of a Prince the creature of these woods
Not much different from the man who seems misunderstood
Leaders come in two legs or four depending how
They take their oath to howl or pledge a whispered vow
The head of creatures ...animal... and those of all free man
Can fight for freedom in the woods or for all the promised lands
Tonight as I lay in my bed and look out into night
I'll understand the Prince who howls and the valored one who fights.

An intriguing poem, Susan, as is the ancient coyote. And they truly are quite intelligent to be able to survive amongst us in the modern world.I have one who lives in a den nearby who follows me and my dogs on our nightly walks. And he's very smart; but very sadly, we've killed off much of his natural prey, and he now stalks pets.

Predestination has to be earned. Because God Is God He knows all before it happens,but we chose our destination by the way we used our free will that God gave to us; this is not an illusion. Be it animal or man we know what has to be done to survive in this life and in the next.
Yep. Therein lies the difference, Susan, the howler or the fighter. To lead the pack, whichever pack we are speaking of, you need not worry about small things, ie., not thin-skinned I mean, instead set your goal high and never waver in its conception and completion.
Valorizing is an act executed by prophets as far as our knowledge goes. It immediately increases awareness allowing us to see it is related to space and time. Everything is determined, in spite of the illusion of free will that we cling to as we attempt to stray away from destiny, which is a property of ignorance. The Coyote Prince knows better than most men where to go, when to go and how to get there.
