Looking up I saw today
A sky of opal jewels
Extraordinary colors
Pastels of shining beauty
Fluid whisps of silver streaks
Clouds of whitest pearls
Baby blues that jumped the sun
Like Monet's sky of swirls
Just when the evening shade came down
The sky deepened to navy
Then tiny illuminescent stars
Appeared in midnight gravy
The night had come and with its wake
A miracle did pass
Til day was done and once again
The master's final grasp
Each stroke was a deep caress
Turning light to grays
Creating contrast with His art
And a night for all our days.
Too many of us overlook the simple beauties of life, yet through your writing you magnify them. In doing so you make them all the more beautiful. You have a rare gift to illustrate the loveliness all
around us. Pierre.
Susan, the shades and colors of creative design are passionately painted on the canvas of your creative thought and brought out on the hues of this lustrous work ...
With its softly pulsing radiance of luminous lines, this poem could have been an impressionistic painting drawing the viewer in and out of its gentle dazzling wonders. Exquisite work.

I really loved this, especially the idea of seeing clouds as opals, really different, like that.

You paint and color a supreme ode and testimony to the Grand Creator
Monet or Toulouse Le Trac would have been proud of this pastel adoration
