In crispy colors fall looms bright
With the morning's apple light
Aromas rich in cinnamon
Fills the air for all our kin
Waterfalls of quiet bubbles
By a fire children huddle
Marshmallows charred for laughter fun
Sticks to lips and sweetened gums
Humming tunes from olden days
Smoke curls up from chimney's haze
Homemade bread fills the air
Rosey cheeks on baby's fair
Air is cleaned from front gone past
Temps slow down and cold at last
Reds and golden, tints of marigold
Fall comes in as summer reposes.
YOu nailed the beauty of the season with this heart warming write with such vivid and sweet images magically coming alive in your keystroke. Great write Susan I love this one.

Smells like a good old country fall day. The pic is marvelous and for some reason our trees this year did not show fall colors or were very weak in color.
Lovely reflective words almost withs sound effects. Even without the image, you paint one with words that conjure up a mental slide show of autumn snapshots.
