Tomorrow, around lunchtime, I will be right here. We have a big family wedding coming up next month and tomorrow the preliminaries begin. This is a repost but I think it's kind of nice that I dedicate it to Brad and Katie.

Aunt Susan

The amazing sand that drifts and flows form granulated streams
It perks the ears and animates the focus of my dreams
Earthly canvas...flowing palette...tides with moving tunes
Fancy footprints, seagull cries, fences on the dunes
Shadows of this evening with streaks of marigolds
Sunsets washing golden hues, silent sighs unfold
Happiness, resounding wash, bleaching Tybee sands
Symphony of nature calls securely from her hands
Surrounding problems disappear as Tybee Lighthouse looms
The visuals here this evening speak volumes , whispers tunes
The greatest Master cover days with thoughtful spent arrays
Then orchestrate great harmony with palms that swish and sway
The tides that roar when coming in give power with each thrust
The echoes of a passing storm shock moments as light burst
Across the heavens darkness forms and generators turn
Then nature gives a light show for rhythm with a burn
The decorated heavens, before held marigolds
Just now are opened wonders as teardrops drape the cold
Consistent roads of electrons send tracers dodging stars
When spotted clouds of reservoirs open from afar
The beauty of this evening is owed to Mother Earth
For if I'd have my rathers, would be for simple worth
The wonder of a simple day with sunlit golden hues
The rain and power jerking tears from gray clouds which were blue
The colors of a masterpiece that changes everyday
Awe from me with humbled eyes who wasn't asked to trade
This front row seat of mystery for the greatest show on earth
Its watching change in a day and knowing of it's worth
The strategies of a storm, the roadway of time's light
The focus of a sunset ceding to a stormy night.
As I read this poem the wind is rattling the streets of Savannah. It seems your considerably gifted pen may have stirred up a Winnie-the-Pooh styled blustery day. Greatly enjoyed the read enhanced by natural special effects.

What great imagery! I enjoy reading this type of thing as I always lose myself in the images I read, I 'go there' in person. Words like these are thought provoking also of places I've been to, mainly in my homeland of Scotland.
You captured it so perfectly Susan. Now I want to be there badly. I've just returned from a southern journey that took me very briefly to your Savannah and other low country places I'm certain I'll find the words for. And now that I know just how close it is, I know Ill return many times so that I can absorb every deail you've penned. How nice to have the wedding incentive to make the trip aan even more special one.
Love,
Taylor
As does your entire poem, Susan. And what a lovely pic.

Are yes nights spent behind sand dunes, not moving as a dog and its owner walk by. Kewl place to have a wedding, wonder how many bucket and spades they'll receive..
A fascinating way you discribe the elements with the coast. It is a great show, on our beach with its dune the lasses go topless too, my nephew is great for innocently standing i take me photographs..lol

When it comes to accenuating the ordinary in not-so-ordinary-a-way, we find you, dear Susan, atop of the mountain. This poem, whether or or not, cements that statement ten-fold. Perfect.
A kalaidascope of beauty you present to us with this sparkling poem filled with the imagery of the seashore. As the ocean is one of my favorite p;aces this write is especially wonderful to me Susan. Congrats to the couple as well.
