Okay! No more excuses!

Poem Artwork

Some people can just vegetate and get away with the same thing. Me, I need a bandaid if I take a stroll and stub my toe on a maple leaf. It's the way stuff happens to blondes.
We aren't taken seriously until we leave the room.

Will somebody just lead me around
Because I'm not feeling wise today
Our pets have more fun just being alive
As long as they try to behave
I'm having the worst time of my life
Just trying to keep my focus
It's a "blonde thing" I'm sure and chances are ripe
That my wisdom isn't all bogus
My emotions are taut and I think I'm in love
While my tears have all gone and rusted
It's a hiatus I need for now is the time
To quit before I get busted
Is feeling this way without you around
Something a wise sage would do
Am I stupid to think this is the real deal
And will my path soon lead me to you
I think it is time to just rest a spell
Allow my past pains... release
A good cry might do me a whole world of good
If only for my inner peace
I want to be like Lucie the dog...
She never has to fret
Except when noone answers her needs
She gets sick or goes to the Vet
Or to just sleep and be worry free
But I stand to lose out in love
If my wisdom is drunk and then takes a fall
And I end up in hell or above
Am I ready to travel, to make this here trip
To power my spirit with his
Or write a screenplay, be Hollywood bound
End up lonely out there in Show Biz
I guess I'll just lie down here on the floor
Then hear him whisper my name
If I talk to myself then forgive me, Okay!
I'm blonde and that's partly to blame.

I like Walt's comment, especially being one of the blonde crowd. There is no question in my mind, Susan. We do have blonde moments, but they are just a momentary escape from the reality of stubbing your toe on a maple leaf. (gotta love that !) The blonde club "ain't" so bad!
Clever as always, Susan...and such fun to read.
Love,
Taylor

A wise sage would question everything She or He did'nt know with absolute surety, and that doesn't leave much to go unquestioned.
I know what a good cry can do for the inner peace of the soul, and I'm no stranger to it, I welcome my tears. I want to be like Lucie the dog too, So sad we can't. There is just so much about life you've said here, Wonderful write,
Love this, Pierre.

Great closing lines. It's always scary and uncertain when dealing with matters of love. Guess it will always be that way. Cheers

...one takes the lightness of this humor...color of blonde...and finds roots of the heart gone platinum...with a tint of sincerity.

Over the years we've learned to conceal the sad with the casual and have become adept at it. I believe more face the challenge than they care to admit. But in the small hours away from the world we take off our masks and ponder on what might have been if matters would not have shaped our world as they did. This place is convention driven however and the next day we enter the stage again with that perfect smile fooling each fool that wants to be fooled. At rare instants we may briefly think the biggest fool of all is us. But at least we know what made things become this way. I enjoyed being on this page to read your multi-layered write; the fruit of an aware spirit. Thank you,

U

Very good Sue. You're no different from any of us. Just think of the blonde friend of mine who wanted me to save all of my burned out light bulbs for the new home that she was building. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK. I just had to know why so I dared to ask. She told me that she was adding an extra room on the house. "Yeah so?" I said. Her reply? "Well, I like taking pictures ya see? And I always wanted my very own 'dark' room." God bless and have a wonderful weekend. pdb

I'm tempted, but I shall resist the blonde joke . . . I say Up With Blondes! Blondes have it harder because they are hot and the envy of scores of others. Oh? Not so, you say? Check out witch hair color gets bought the most at your local drugstore . . . Gotta love it . . .
