Surprised I missed this Tony,but I too have been mostly in another zone'-) We all get there sooner or later/'m awaiting eye surgery,can barely see,among other things. I'll keep you in thoughts and prayers. Take care,and be well! Splendid poem!

Yes, we all wonder this. Pain is a very complex thing. I think people who don't have it constantly, chronically, cannot understand it in the same way. Eventually, if it is chronic, you readjust your life to it, so that it doesn't control you. This is a very interesting poem, enjoyed.
We have to fight on, I know, I've been there and may be again but we have to find a way to live until then and a way to find some joy for ourselves. Well penned Tony and so sad.
