In the corner she sat, under her, might as well be a wrestling matt. Wrinkles on her face, still she shows strength in grace. She's a mother in fact, her behaviors not exact.
At times she's nice, others take a tolerant sacrifice. At times she laughs and smiles, trying to forget the years trials. But she can't forget, neither does she show much regret.
Pride still blooms, at times her temper zooms. Still we all connect, realize it's too late to correct. Mother-in-law is quite demanding, needs alot of understanding.
A short story of mine was included in an anthology of short fiction by fourteen of Port Town Publishing Company's authors. It is out of print and no longer available except as a download. Contact me at charlenetess@yahoo.com if you want it.
