With 24 hours in a day,
work eight plus for my pay,
sleep eight for my rest,
after 24 I've past the test,
at least tried to do my best.
Or have I really applied,
should I multiply or divide?

After about working five,
all I want to do is
take a break and jive.
I'm suppose to be a poet,
sometimes I don't want to do it.
I try writing on my book,
only too see my eyelids look.

I'm very good at loafing,
if loafing made a man wealthy,
I'd be a rich man healthy.
Time is the real foe,
it's just in time I know.
Then again it's my own head,
the reason I'm still in the red.
