anything worthwhile is worth trying

a trick that needs trying,
harder when your azz is frying,
or almost dying.
for years i've had a sense of humor,
hope it has prevented a tumor,
at least cut down on the rumor.

that i'm a mean azz nerve plucker,
worst than a sixteen wheel trucker.

any way i keep smiling and trying to laugh,
but all the bull cuts this in half.
it's harder now that i'm older,
i do quite a bit of praying to the beholder.
i'd love to stay happy,
even when i feel kind of crappy.

i do a lot of joke cracking,
even when my humor is lacking.
the only thing we can do is try,
it's that or sometimes almost cry.
one way not to be real sad,
is to patch azz and get glad.
be thankful for what we got,
than for what we do not.
