A dark day for the pocket, should be called broke Friday.
Quite a few deals
almost steals
Takes cash right out
of the pockets
nothing on sale was
on the dockets
Some things we have to
stick in sockets
Rise early in the morning
sleepy and yarning
Thoughts of great deals
adorning
At the favorite store
you might get stomped
into the floor
trying to beat others
through the door
One customer was trappled
to death at a Walmart
didn't even reach a
shopping cart
Later on others sat and drank
coffee then ate a sweet tart
Broke friday at the
local Walmart
You tell it like it is my friend...our local WalMart discovered a way to try to eliminate such problems, don't know how it worked out, I didn't go...but anyway our WalMart is not a super center so it closes at 11:00, except for Thursday night they stayed open all night, people actually camped out in their lawn chairs near the items that they wanted to buy. My daughter went, said it wasn't near as bad as last year...but probably everyone is still broke, just not trampled...a great write that we can all relate to. Enjoyed this my friend, hope all is well!

I enjoyed reading your poem on Black Friday. I agree with you, it should be called Broke Friday, not Black Friday.
Was someone really trampled to death at a Walmart store? We didn't go there. We stopped at Lowes and Bed,Bath,& Beyond. I didn't see any bargains, but we were able to buy something on credit with no interest for a year. Oh, I forgot, we did get a 100 MULTI LIGHT SET and another set for free at Walgreens!
