Just for fun... repost for a rainy day

Poem Artwork

Doesn't it make you mad..
When you open a door
for a stranger ..
And they walk right through..
Don't even glance your way..
Like this is YOUR life..
Not even a nod of the head
Tilt of the chin..
Perhaps a little smile of thanks..
You know something
h u m a n.
I do this ALL the time..
I think it is the right thing to do..
If someone is behind me or in
front with lots of things in hand
I always help them out..
They act like this is my job..
What the heck is that about?
Like I have NOTHING better to do
Than stand at this door opening it
for strangers..
No kids, no goals, no life..
Nope just a waiten here at
the Dollar Store JUST to help YOU out..
No doubt
I don't WORK here
I SHOP here..
I think they already know..
Don't matter to this
crotchety crowd..
Young or old. .
As I leave my shopping spree..
Five bags in each hand..
Watch some girls fat ass
run in haste
As she slams the door
in my face!
Darn..
I kick the door open with
my foot and laugh as I sigh..
As my father always said..
"Better than a sharp stick in the eye"..
These people can go suck pond water..
That's how I feel this day..
But tomorrow I will do all again..
Guess I was raised that way..
Yup..
To be voluntary toilet paper..
What the heck maybe tomorrow.
I will stay..
Perhaps tomorrow
I will do it ALL day..
Yup, hold the door
For one and all
Yesterday the
Dollar Store..
Tomorrow the
MALL..

A humorous look at the world and life through my eyes. Follow the author and his wife, as they travel the world …. several times over. Laugh at their funny stories, self-inflicted crazy events, strange observations, wacky zoo facts and snippets
