This has happened to a guy who several years back travelled to America. He looked at a girl and she looked him back and the two fell in love. But their love went to the rocks before he was issued with the green card. The girl refused someone to exploit her innocence. But that did not stop him from wandering around to pass his love virus to another girl for the same reasons he had lost the first girl. Too bad.
Wading into a river of infatuation
I blissfully swam in waters of joy
But with the heat of glaring truth
The romantic bonds had been weakened
Green Card Love had then fallen apart
Like the pieces of a broken glass
Its bits lie on the floors of lust
From what I've been told brother Abdi-Noor this is not an uncommon occurrence. Too many desperate girls/women blind to red flags. Something for them to think about. Peace, love, blessings and gratitude for sharing. <Mikii>
If the only reason he told her he loved her, was so he could stay in America, then shame on him! If two are in love, truly in love, then a marriage that stands the test of time will give him permanent residency here. I have known women, who for a large sum of money, will marry someone so that they can remain in America, but the marriage must last (I believe the number is) 7 years and Imigration services will come to check on them to make sure that it is a real marriage and not simply a citizenship marriage. I would suggest that he goes to Mexico and jumps the US border, it seems that we are ignoring those people when they come here, now.
