Preparing for Thunder

Show and tell never showed; you were the love I always sought to touch with more than just my mind.

*|*

My body might not be perfect and my
mind is far from so, but in my head you
touched me in all the right places, until
my imperfections showed my bondage, to
a life, I never sought, but which I found.

*|*

The most vulgar thing I’ve ever read was
when you called me, Mrs. Sara Coslett.
Like I am not a person of my own,
but someone’s property... some “others” Missus;
where “others” is an incurable virus.

*|*

If only you could see, bruises are not
skin deep, but purplish clouds on lost souls,
hovering like desperadoes in an
alcoholic disguise, looking for dildo
substitutes and freeze dried dendritic tears.

*|*

Life is never more certain than when one
is faced with indecision, that leaves you
full of excitement, as you beg for
release from a personae that fritters
life away, like a blossom barely opening
beneath a tear never forgotten.

*|*

Today, I keep my voice low, respect falls
upon my consciousness. Tomorrow I
will thunder my den... Thunderstruck, my thunder!

Marvelous poetry, Sara. I agree with Karen and Karla on the
power of the third stanza, especially "looking for dildo
substitutes and freeze dried dendritic tears." -gene.

Sara - Your poetry and music present a startling drama. In the spirit of the Season, I wish for you, Peace of mind and love to include those you respect, and with whom you wish to share. You are much too superior a woman to let anything get you down.
Love and contentment to you, My Friend, - Bill

Sara, The paths which we end up falling down on, sometimes make you feel like a rat in a maze. Hopefully when the fog lifts, we are able to stand up to the Thunder and partake in the world. This is a totally awesome write, I keep reading it over and again. Your lines are profound. Thank you for sharing this, it really says alot to me. Warmth and Love to you. Carin'

Hey Karla.

The part you have quoted, "...desperadoes in an alcohol disguise, looking for dildo substitutes..." is part of a poem I wrote to an actor I used to know about 25 years ago.

Him and I used to hang out together into the wee hours of the morning, drinking of course. I wrote that down on a napkin and gave it to him. He placed it in his wallet and said he would keep it forever.

I wonder if Jeff Fahey still has it in his wallet... I doubt it, but the line has been hanging around my life like a noose ever since.

As for the thunder part, that has to do with Author's Den lying to its Gold Members. You see, they state in their policies that Gold Members will not have to endure Google Ads on their bio page. Only that is bullshit. As every Gold Member I've checked out has Google ads on their bio page. And when I complained they doubled the number of my ads on my pages.

Mind you, last year when I renewed my membership, the come on was that there would be NO Google ads AT ALL on my pages. But they've violated that and revised their policies... only to violate the revisions too!

So I say.... phuck dem. Thunder is coming.

Sara,

The lines,

" ... if you could only see, bruises are not
skin deep, but purplish clouds on lost souls,
hovering like desperadoes in an
alcoholic disguise, looking for dildo
substitutes and freeze dried dendritic tears. ...." speak VOLUMES

I felt this, deep within my own soul. But the ending brings hope. Freedom. Cleansing, from the storm of abuse - well penned. Pray you're okay: let me know.

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla. *tears*
