This is the best And the worst time of year Where expectations gang up on our empty hearts Hoping to be filled with mistletoe kisses And chocolate covered cherries. With simple gestures of friendship And kindness. With a card, a gift, a phone call or a visit.
For some the days drag on Mailboxes fill with unpaid bills. Mud on doorsteps remain untouched. And hearts? They fall heavily under the burden Of unfilled desires. Gradually heads hang lower and lower Hoping tears will drop to the ground Before they run down our face Let the earth bear the burden Our sleeves are worn out.
Yes Sara This is the most sadest time of year for me....it brings back memories....and only makes my head hang low...geee even my feet grown bigger from all the tears I spilled this past year.
Now let us face the New Year standing tall.....okay easier said than done...but at least we can give it a try hey!!

I think you have come up trumps.
In my not so humble opinion, I think this is how poetry should be displayed, in a superb artistic format.
Obviously, you have the secret, not disclosed to us lesser mortals.
One would think that on a professional site we would all have access to such, regardless of what format I use it still turns out the same, it just ignores my chosen font.
