Crying Clown

© Jaimey Perham 05/19/2010

Sick and tired of acting and playing for royalty the part of the crying clown

Drained and exhausted performing for the King and Queen, a jester of comedic crowns

On this rainy day in the heart of London I will show no more foolish frowns

My new fresh goal is to head to the English country side and find a quaint little backwards town

Going to give up the city gals, and find me a real nice lady, home grown

One that won’t leave you hanging when life gets rough and tough, and strand me down to the ground on my own

Not that I am afraid of anything if left all alone?

Might actually do me some good to clear my head despite feeling lonely

But to my great avail if I need to talk to someone I just pick up that telephone

Decided to go to my local community bank to take out a large loan

But to my surprise not only did they not lend me the money; they froze my savings of gold

National Security or some bullshit like that the bank manager moaned

So I left the empty bank and headed west to the train station broke and gone

Hopped into the back of the locomotive, and saw it was full of a cargo of hobos and animal bones

A stranger said the caboose was headed to the pristine country side up north, in other words my future rich paradise, my new poor home
