Mother’s give birth,
must be female,
take care of us.

WRONG!

A mother cares
and may be male …
who cares anyway?
Mothers--old, young,
brother, sister,
uncle or aunt,
grandma or pa,
foster parents,
loving strangers,
a town, village.
True … mothers stay?

Not so … some die,
give kids away,
may ‘run’ some day,
go to prison,
harm their loved ones.
Mothers raise children
with love unconditional,
perhaps untraditional,
come in all shapes, creeds, colors.
Any one can be ‘Mother’
show compassion … like no other.
So on this day … lets give thanks
for mothers
but don’t break the banks!
Mothers thrive well on pure love!
