Not everyone means what they say or says what they means but we all should be more careful of what words tumble out of our mouths ... words can wound, deeply. ******************
His tongue's a rope, entwined around; addicted dope ... it twists me 'round. Where will I lay my head tonight ... uneasy ... shadows meshed with fright prancing on pale wings of midnight? Can I dare to dream my tongue waiting to scream? There's no guarantee tomorrow will be . Tightens the rope, entwined around; addicted dope ... I'm duty bound. Feel that I must keep tears inside. It's not my fault yet I crawl, hide. To live I must let rages slide. I sincerely hope for the strength to cope. Strangled with lies, bloat ... he oozes one more coat. His tongue's a rope, entwined around; addicted dope ... it pulls me down. Where is the love that we once shared? Am I even sure he e'er cared? Are his rages true feelings bared? Life ferments, unwinds; death leers ... wines and dines. It seems like 'hard' time. At least ... I'm aware of my plight. I chopped the rope entwined around, freed dreams, hope ... my life is sound.

Sandy, throughout ones lifetime unfortunately there are many disappointments that crop up. But, you are absolutely right my friend, words, especially ones that we are not sure where or how they originated, or just outright lies, can and will slice through someone�s soul quicker than a silver bullet. Actually, sometimes-total silence is a worse form of punishment or abuse one can go through or have to endure during any relationship. Nevertheless, this is an unusual break from your normally creative well-penned humorous writes. This one packs a heart-wrenching one-two punch, which rips away at the very fabric of a human beings sacred quest to live out their life peacefully. An extremely powerful, timeless poetic painful treasure you have created here. Thank you for sharing it. Take care and be well.
