all but the memories
that I shared with you
wherever we go

our unfulfilled dreams
our love is dead and buried

I recall
walking along the beach
stealing sweet kisses
we loved . . . ever so
never your ‘missus’
don’t deny me memories
our unfulfilled dreams
a ring around your finger
we remained unseen
it’s all right
you have your wife;
let me dream
you were my life too
wherever I go
let me keep them, do

Ahh memories, Some I cherish, many I fear, lost loves, war, dead friends, and quality family time. Each combined makes us who we are.

Memories are great the good ones can help over come the bad memories sometimes.good writing.

Sandra, no one can steal these memories. They are engraved in your heart forever. But other memories may come along even greater. Do not forget that. Life is not over. You will survive and rise above the hurt and pain. There are others out there searching for the same things as you do. Wanting love and affection and permanence in a relationship. Bill
