illustrious tears shimmered, slid
but resounded mournfully
an illusion t’was love itself
beckoning me forward
to tender threads I clung
tiny, tender hands thrust me
to live one must be born
an illusion t’was love itself
mothers aren’t cradles for all
they suckle; some they shun
slim, silky strands to heaven
wound clenched in tiny fists
an illusion t’was love itself
silvery pieces fell earthward
my binding angelically undone
my decadence rent the wind
orifices ripe, ripping with scents
an illusion t’was love itself
curling, binding myself within
with ears deafened to mournful sobs
an illusion t’was love itself
