Now we KNOW you are safely home and back on the ever onwards and upwards path to health and well-being, dear Gene! And IT FEELS GOOD! We can savour this re-opening scenario with you and know that it signals that all is well in your world, that the dreams continue undaunted and unbroken inspite of the drowse and perceived downtime of a period of sickness. As creative people, I strongly believe that there are "markers" in life that conjure our sense of being; things that clue us into what it means to be here, now and truly alive in our space on this mortal coil. My markers are things that others might consider ephemera and inconsequentialities: feathers, shells, leaves (plus rock concert ticket stubs... Aerosmith last night, Oh Boy!!) - and it's their appearance in my life that grounds me and opens doors to the who and what I'm about. Does this make sense? With you it's perhaps the companionship of your beloved Gull. Very cinematic - this I can see! :)) You better get that notebook at the ready, Writer Man, cos whatever that gull is tasting you can sure bet he's gonna be gettin you to note it down and translate for us back here!
