Forget not that the earth delights to feel your bare feet and the winds long to play with your hair. ~Kahlil Gibran
WILD NOVEMBER WINDS
I love the excitement, of the wind as it dances, blowing my hair in my eyes
Its sharp, its fast, with a frosty blast, aggressive and not at all shy!
The air is crisp, and cool in my lungs, it makes me feel cleansed and renewed
So wild and proud, it cries right out loud, STEP ASIDE, I'VE THINGS I MUST DO!
~~*~~
It blows down the leaves, & transports the seeds, devoid of plan or attack
Their destinations, the whim of the winds, who may suddenly grab them all back
The trees now moan, and branches grown, as they're bullied and pushed to and fro
This playful harressment begins in the dawn, and continues beneath the moon's glow
~~*~~
The earth lays bare of its cycle thats past, to make way for the season to come
From green to red, to gold and brown, new life awaits birth in the sun
And as the winds now cleanse the earth, determined and untamed
I feel the cold upon my face....... I'm part of natures chain
This is a real gem Anita..the wind frightens me sometimes..Great expression here.......I know this is a sad day for you...your son going back into service...all my prayers are with you and him...bless you......floria

Appears you have captured the winds of change nicely there,
Good one.
Mor.
I've always enjoyed Kahlil Gibran: good choice of reference. As for your poem, it is absolutely gorgeous-- akin to a Thomas Kinkade painting: and you know how famous and valuable those are! ~~ Bonnie Q
