~ Missing ~
My angry child, my lost child, I hope one day you’ll find,
This letter written for you, like I’ve done a hundred times.
My longing just to hold you, in these mother’s arms again,
Comes in waves throughout my days…if only I knew when.
What could’ve possibly changed you, to make you stay away,
A card, a call, some kind of sign, that you’ll be home someday.
No matter what you’ve done, or even if you’re hiding shame,
Remember, I’m your favorite fan, my love is still the same.
A gay man wouldn’t phase me, I accept you as you are.
A thief, a bum, a junkie, behind penitentiary bars.
Perhaps one drink too many, did you fall between the cracks,
Or did you just decide one day, you’re never coming back.
Where are you precious child of mine, my time is running late.
My life is leaning toward the end…I don’t think I can wait.
So just in case I miss you Dear, my letters will have to do,
I’ve left my heart inside each page, it still belongs to you.

gets the message! We raise them and they forget us
but usually they return. I hope he does soon!
