~ This Blessing ~

Is it blessed I be, seeing into hearts of others.
Their pain permeates me, as though it was I.
Injured souls, broken bodies, broken spirits,
Residing here, in visions of sorrow repeated.

Damned be compassion, sympathy double dosed,
Causing Pandemonium in every part of myself.
Creating questions, why’s and how’s not meant to know.
Ever still, tears saturate in memory of strangers.

Shameful am I, unable to care for all in need.
Guilty, my shoes are not thin, touching God’s earth.
My clean clothes wear no holes, to allow me cold,
Nor do hunger pangs, awaken me in dark nights.

Is it blessed I be, seeing into hearts of others,
Past sallow eyes, defeat beneath a broken smile.
Bequeathing memories of sadness ne’er forgotten,
Penetrating my core being, to stay forever more.

For those who have the gifts you talk about here, they are truly blessed. Truly blessed are the downtrodden, the hungry, the poor, the child who is lost, and the child who is not lost. To everyone that cares for another's plight, is truly blessed. May the Lord be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy tot he world, peace on earth,& (((HUGS))), Barbie
