~   The Crystal Lotus   ~

Crystal Lotus on blue waters, afloat amongst fat Koi,
Sashaying to and fro, fade dark to light.
Golden silver shadows, swim beneath a Crystal Lotus,
From the brilliance of it’s shine… into their night.

Round, wet puckered mouths, reaching up to clear white skies,
Nibble on small insects floating there.
Lagoon of rainbow colors, swells of lazy puddle play,
Hypnotizing passing eyes to stare.

Lilly pads to shade soft scales, of swaying silken beauty,
Encircling slow motion in their joy.
Slumber in dark stillness, hidden deep into the pond,
Beneath the Crystal Lotus… rest the Koi…
